Last week I spent one day at Duke Chapel in Durham, NC with a group of about 15 people invited by Ched Myers to reflect on the impact of his early book, Binding the Strongman. Orbis will publish a 25th anniversary edition this year. The gathering was extremely interesting, including a number of prominent African American pastors (women and men), whose interest in the campaigns was very high. Their discussion about the Jeremiah Wright controversy was fascinating and challenging.
