Honduras and Haiti

My time in Honduras and Haiti were excellent. I was in Haiti with my daughter and two granddaughters for a long weekend - personal time. We had an excellent visit to Cite Soleil with a young group of Pax Christi memebrs - and an opportunity to meet their sports for peace team. Claudette Werleigh's husband, Georges, a historian, gave us an amazing and clear briefing on Haiti's history and an analysis of what is happening now. We visit ed a Montessori shcool for Beth Ann and saw a group of young people signing and dancing in their end of the summer performance.

Honduras was intense but very interesting. The human rights violations are very serious and the coup government is relentless. The Cardinal created a huge fury by appearing to support the coup and people were terribly upset. I had a good meetin giwth Maryknoll Bob Coyne in San Pedro Sula ...
