Meg's Update: Sept. 2,Meeting: Caring World

An inter-religious event was held this evening in New Jersey, sponsored by Islamic Relief USA. The evening brought together members of several relief agencies sharing information on programs being carried out globally to alleviate suffering, hunger, illiteracy, and diseases worldwide regardless of color, race, or creed. The over-arching motivation continues to be providing aid in a compassionate and dignified manner. A speaker from President Obama's Administration, Mr. Max Finberg, US. Department of Agriculture, spoke of the immediate programs now in place assisting those in need, both at home and abroad. The tone of the entire presentations highlighted the truth when we come together as a global family, in service to those in need, the results are amazing.
