There was no particular agenda for this morning's Outreach Cluster meeting but a general theme surfaced around Web use with a lot of commenting regarding blogs and short videos. All were interested to hear of Global Concerns's internal blog experiment. Michael Ball said that 'Blogger' only keeps material for a short time. He can help us set up something that functions as a permanent record. This is very simple (apparently). Our election short video project attempt was of interest also. Michael said one minute videos on the five themes is a very good idea. He would like to have all the raw material!
It was pointed out that the Sisters' home page had dropped the election 2008 reference as of yesterday. Michael said he would see to it that it is restored today.
I mentioned our NN survey - there was general approval regarding both the survey and moving away from print. Again, Michael said that NN needs to be data base driven and that it cannot be PDF. I do not know the implications of this and am only passing on the information.
Michael was very clear about adding as many short videos as possible to all our web pages.
These are the points discussed that are of particular interest to G.C. The other points discussed can be reviewed in the minutes.
