Religion for Peace Meeting Sept. 19th

On Friday, Sister Bibiana Bunuan, our sister from Namibia, and I had a very interesting meeting at the Religion and Peace Office at the U.N. Church Centre. I wanted Bibiana to meet the Program Director, Jacqueline Ogega, to share what she is doing among deprived women and girls at her center. The exchange was most helpful; there are activities carried out in the African community, programmed by the office of Religion and Peace, to which Bibiana can connect. Of special note, in the next Mosaic Newsletter, a featured article, written by Bibiana will be published; it speaks of the cruel treatment inflicted on a small child in Namibia - one of many being served at the sister's center. The meeting was important for both parties as it will lead to more cooperation in service to those most in need.
