This morning our Task Force on a planned side-event, scheduled for February 18th met.
We have been having many difficulties with our DVD showing, "Child Brides - Stolen Lives".
First, the proposed venue was not available; our co-chairpersons of WGG had different ideas as how we should proceed. Speakers we wanted for our panel discussions couldn't commit, and so it went on and on. At this writing, it is looking a bit more hopeful. Two speakers have agreed to come on board; we are getting a "green light" for a venue, and a flyer is being worked on. This afternoon, I submitted data for the flyer, as was requested, so perhaps we are now on our way.
Nothing is ever too easy in this Land of Promise!
