Meg's update: WGG Meetings: 9-3;17;22.Beijing + 15

The theme for CSW - 54th Session will be a review of implementation of BPFA.
Since 1995, much progress has been made in bringing equality to women, however, much more needs to be done before women and children can claim their equal place beside their male partners. Plans to celebrate this event, February 27-28, 2010, will feature two days of input regionally as to where we stand now in relation to commitments made by governments. Fun and some frolic will also be part of the celebration. March 1st to 12th, the theme, "Global World Through Women's Eyes", will feature what is hoped to be presentations and an outcome where a new vision for women will emerge. Enough reviewing has been done; what is now needed is an integrated thrust where all components of a woman's life is addressed as one unified reality and where she has at last 'come home' to the table of equals.
