Meg's update: 6/15/10: New publication, "Decent Work" - Fall Globalization

A new publication, "Decent Work and Fair Globalization: A Guide to Policy Dialogue", published by UN (NGLS), is an important guide in meeting development goals and eradicating poverty.
MDGs, #I. The Main Findings offeed are: Global economic governance reform and a new development pardigm; a basic "social protection floor", decent work centered recovery strategy; more equitable share of income between wages and profits; alternative macroeconomic policies for increasing employment and economic stability; an "localization" agenda for decent jobs; the need to reform the global economic architecture and strengthen international cooperation.
Contributions to this publication has been the "ILO Declaration on Social Justice for a Fair Globalization" Geneva, 10 June 2008, and "A Global Jobs Pact", ILO Regional Office in Latin America & Caribbean, 2009. This resource can be helpful in working toward what we desire for workers globally.
