Meg's update: CSW57 Briefing. November 19th, 2012

Ms. Lopa Banerjee, Chief, Civil Society Section of UN Women briefed the members on the planned Stakeholders Forum in which women survivors of violence will  speak how they have effected change in their communities and used their experience to promote legislative and policy reform in their particular contexts.  The format will be an inter-active and moderated panel discussion, among the panelists and the audience; five survivor voices, ideally one each from UN six regional sections will be invited to participate as panelists.  The overall objective will be to provide guidance informed by the real experiences of women.
