The Forum held in preparation for CSW57 was rich in content, offering insights and recommendations from UN Agencies, Civil Society, and Women's organizations globally. Eliminating violence against women and children needs an holistic approach, gov't involvement, laws implemented, zero tolerance for any offense be it through ones culture or religious tradition.
CEDAW Convention was highlighted to be ratified by gov't's not on board, awareness raising vital for correctives, men and boys must be active in promoting gender equality; political will, needed resources, and importantly, women in decision-making roles to secure positive outcome for the desired results. All these are our dreams as we walk together into the future.
