Meg's update: New Generation of Dev. Goals: 11-26-2012

The purpose of today's discussion spoke to the need to move toward a new generation of development goals; three panels will focus on what is needed to:1) determine guiding principles and values for a joint MDG/SDG agenda, 2) define core concepts of a new pardigm, 3) ensure coherence in bringing the different processes together. Key points were: MDG must be the touchstone for principles and values that will guide a joint MDG/SDG agenda. "Realizing the Future We Want For All" proposes a more holistic approach which includes social, economic, environmenal, peace & security issues.  The task ahead is to bring all these factors into a coherent plan to achieve the future we want.
