More on Transition Team

On Friday the heads of religious justice and peace offices met with Mara Vanderslice from the Obama transition team. The conversation was pretty interesting and Mara encouraged the faith community to request any meetings we would like to have with the transition team. She also said that they hope to kep an active process of consultation going after the inauguration. After the new year there will be meetings with faith communities about the MDGs and global poverty, torture, trade, the Middle East, and we are requesting meetings on war in Iraq and Afghanistan and faith, economy, ecology. We'll see what happens!
